On to November and a Thanksgiving theme....

Finally, Pictures!

I finished September and began October's BJP yesterday. I plan to back each one with the same beige fabric that's beaded, add ribbon hangars and display them on wrought-iron rods in calendar order.

Pictures tomorrow. Or Tuesday. Or later this week....

I haven't sewn a single bead to the fabric but I have a plan. Or two. But by this time tomorrow it'll be well on it's way to meeting the September not-really-a-deadline-but-I'll-treat-it-like-one.

Red. There'll definitely be red beads in the September page.

See? I have a plan!

It's a start, sort of

I've chosen my fabrics. Now I can worry about whether I bought enough for the whole year....
I spent time at the bead shop today, too. I'm not clear on exactly just what I'm going to bead here, but I have beads in sizes 11, 13, and 15. I'll get out my thread and needles this evening and just start.

Bracelets of the month. Or not....

I'm leaning more and more towards a bracelet to represent each month of the Bead Journal Project. Or something small with the name of the month beaded. Or maybe the flower of the month with the month's name. Or, or, or....

Whatever it is the "theme" for September will involve apples. Either as part of the clasp or the background or somewhere in the design.

At least I have that much decided....

Beading, again

Life had gotten in the way. A lot of life. But now I'm taking care of me as best I can and getting back to the things I love. One of those things is tiny beads. Shiney beads. Matte beads, curly beads, flat beads, metal beads, interesting one-of-a-kind beads.

I'm joining the 2008/09 Bead Journal Project. Trying this one more time. Making a commitment to do something I want to do even though I have not a clue what it will turn out to be.

Maybe I'll make a tiny beaded doll each month. Or a bracelet. Or just bead the name of the month on some felt. Maybe I'll take the elemnets of the BJP I failed to complete and turn them into something for this year. Or not.

The next two weeks will be spent thinking about this. Preparing for this. Committing to this. Because even though there are no BJP completion police, I'll know whether I'm practicing integrity with myself.

So, thinking......
